HOW SOLAR SYSTEMS WORK
Solar Panels or Photovoltaic Panels provide DC voltage when exposed to sunlight, these are in turn connected to MPPT Inverters to generate usable AC voltage. This type of system is usually referred to as ON-GRID system. The system continues to work so long as the public grid is present.
In case of grid failure or absence of public grid the ON-GRID PV system will also stop functioning and thus a secondary backup inverter with batteries is introduced in the system to ensure continued use of the system this type of system is usually referred to as an OFF-GRID System
